James Cahoon is the Founder and CEO of Strategies Group Inc.  He started in the insurance and financial services industry in 1993. James has always focused on the unique needs and goals of the retiree community and business owners. James and his team serve a select group of families to help build and maintain the retirement lifestyle they have worked so hard for and deserve.

James holds an active Series 65, which means his responsibility is to provide the utmost trust and confidence to manage and protect property or money for another’s benefit. His main objective is to establish relationships built on Trust and to bring security and peace of mind to his clients. Since each client is unique, his recommendations are tailored to each specific client. Regardless of the size of his or her estate, James’ mission is to show his clients how to increase their retirement income, lower taxes and protect themselves from financial risks.

James went to school at Florida A&M University. He stays on the cutting edge of the financial service industry through continuous education. He is a member of National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), which promotes the critical role of insurance in sound financial plan. James holds the CSA designation, which is part of Society of Certified Senior Advisors (CSA) and NSSA, which is a part of National Social Security Advisors. These designations require a commitment to ethical behavior and the knowledge required to benefit retired clients and their families.

James has been married to his wife, Latisha, for over two decades and resides in Louisville, Kentucky. They have three children attending college at Northwestern University, University of Kentucky and Howard University. When James is not helping his clients increase their confidence about their financial future, he and Latisha enjoy traveling and spending time volunteering at different charitable organizations.
